Dilip Kumar Demise: ‘God Snatched Away My Reason For Living’ Were Wife Saira Banu's First Words After His Death
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7 due to prolonged illness. Reportedly, at the age of 98, he breathed his last at PD Hinduja. His beloved wife and veteran actress Saira Banu's first words after she got to know of his death were that her ‘reason for living’ had been ‘snatched away’ by the Almighty. Reportedly, the news was first confirmed by Dr Jalil Parkar who was treating the veteran actor. The doctor revealed what Saira Banu first said to him after Dilip's death. 

"God snatched away my reason for living. Without saab, I won't be able to think about anything. Everyone, please pray,” she was quoted as saying by Peeping Moon. On Dilip and Saira's 52nd wedding anniversary, Banu had penned a sweet note on Dilip’s account along with an adorable picture of the two which is her personal favourite. She wrote, “My Kohinoor, my sahab, the man of my dreams, my Yusuf jaan and I can't thank enough- the millions of well-wishers, friends and family for your beautiful messages, calls and greetings on our 52 years of marriage today, Attaching a personal fav. photo -SBK”  

Faisal Farooqui informed everyone about Dilip Kumar’s death as he posted a tweet from the actor's account. It said, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return.  - Faisal Farooqui”
